SubWaves #7: Connecting Frequencies

Subwaves returns to De Richel! The 7th edition of the series features Portuguese guitarist Marcelo Dos Reis’ new Amsterdam-based quartet with Ada Rave, Salvoandrea Lucifora and Onno Govaert; plus gorgeous minimalist guitar music by David Mitchell; and fresh from a tour of Japan: the burning Swiss/American/British freejazz trio FDF – Thomas Florin, John Dikeman and Nicolas Field – with guest bassist Aaron Lumley.

“After making several appearances at different open mics and event this past year Platinum UnO is finally going to organize his own show again to celebrate the release of his new album “Can I Move On?” With “Can I Move On? The Show”.

With lots of guest appearances from different hiphop artists from The Netherlands it is sure to be an amazing night.

A show all about hiphop, vulnerable music and good vibes.

SubWaves #6: International Connections

The sixth edition of SubWaves is all about international connections: Copenhagen’s Halfdan Magnus Stefansson joins Amsterdam’s Ada Rave for a fiery duet; NYC saxophonist Michael Foster will be joined by XXX all-stars George Haddow, Raoul van der Weide and Salvoandrea Lucifora; Berlin-based saxophonist Jeremy Viner has put together a band of Netherlands-based heavyweights featuring Chaerin Im, Zack Lober and Tancrede D. Kummer; and the final act of the evening is the French -based Manouvres Sentimentales aka Andrea Bazzicalupo, Peter Orins and Laurent Rigaud!

This concert features the Catalan chamber-folk of Ell Sol + strings, Andrea Hackl & Antoine Vilard’s multidisciplinary performance, telepathic improvisations by Eduardo Marraffa & Jasper Stadhouders, Parkland Music Project’s uplifting acoustic shoegaze and the fiery grooves and freejazz face melt of the Zebra Street Band.

Valentina Tóth – Fatal Flower (Wildbloei)

Fatal Flower is an ode to the hysterical woman. In this tragicomic, musical, and delightfully over-the-top one-woman show, Valentina explores the boundaries and clichés of the female image in society.

SOURMOUTH – Diederik Zuurmond

SOURMOUTH is an ever-developing dark and silly stand-up comedy show featuring award-winning comedian/bussinessman Diederik Zuurmond. With a lot of jokes, some impressions and a song, Diederik tackles all of today’s tough topics and poses a hell of a lot of questions like “why is it so damn windy all the time?” and “is it me or is it like really windy?”. The show will be completely in english apart from the bits that are noises.
